The converstation about Direct Provision in Visual yesterday really struk me that everyones understanding of Shelter is very different. It really depends on what you have or dont have. For me it was about care while for others it was about privacy . which you dont have in Direct Provision. Everyone should be able to live a good life, to be able to do things for themselves and make their own choices. Talking to people living in Direct Provision, who are trying to change policy of Direct Provision, really showed me what people themselves can do to change the sitution they find themselves in.
