To enhance awareness on the housing crisis in Ireland, our group set up a space within the college to engage people. Flyers were created to hand out to students in relation to the march that was organised by the NHHC for the 1st December 2018. Many students stopped to chat on their way to lectures that day and while many were aware of the housing crisis many were still shocked at the statistics that we were presenting them and wanted to help.
Our aim was to let student’s know that this march was on, that it was important to get involved and that it was vital to push for changes in the system. By giving up their time they too could become part of this change.
